Spirit of christmas

Spirit Of Christmas

"Wilderness Spirit of Christmas"

Once upon a time there was a Chipmunk,
flying squirrel and a squirrel, having
their dinner time chat, while sitting
on a spruce tree.

Suddenly the tree started vibrating very
rudely, like a grinding vibration. They
all looked at each other with a puzzling
look on their faces. They all wondered the
same thing. So they all spread out to see
what was causing the strange noise. They
all ended up at the same place and couldn't
find what it was...so, they all started down
the trunk of the tree. Guess what they found!

It happens to be Mr. Beaver gnawing on the
trunk of the tree. Then all three asked at
the same time, "What are you doing?" Mr. Beaver
continued gnawing on the tree trunk. I guess
the vibration caused Mr. Beaver not to hear
that well. Again, all three screamed out
loud. "What are you doing?!?!" Mr. Beaver
jumped. With his mouth filled with wood chips
and a surprise look on his face, Mr. Beaver
finally spit the wood chips out and said, "I
am getting ready for Christmas!" "Christmas?!"
They all said at once. "Yes!" Said Mr.Beaver.
"Come, follow me and I will show you."

Mr.Beaver walked towards a nearby stump.
He climbed up and looked down to the tree
and asked them to take a good look at the
tree he was cutting down. "What do you see?"
asked Mr. Beaver. "It is a beautiful blueish
green spruce tree." they said at the same
time. "Yes , you are correct. This is what
we are going to do." said Mr. Beaver.

"First we are going to gather all your
neighbourly cousins to decorate the tree.
You will have all your cousins gather up
acorns, moss and some feathers to decorate
the tree. So, go and gather your cousins and
help me make a Christmas of your life."
said Mr. Beaver.

Mr. Beaver finally finished cutting down
the tree. Then the Flying Squirrel came by
Mr. Beaver's side and landed on the trunk of
the tree. The Flying Squirrel is walking with
a puzzling look on his face. Mr. Beaver asked
him, what his problem was. "Where are you
going to move this tree?" Asked the Flying
Squirrel. "By the ocean over there". As Mr.
Beaver pointed, which was a distance away.
"That's pretty far. How are you going to
manage to move it over there?" asked the
Flying Squirrel. Mr. Beaver was walking
back and forth trying to figure out how
to move this large tree by the ocean.
Finally, out of nowhere the Flying Squirrel
screamed, "I got it! I know how to move
that tree."

"How?!, How?!" asked Mr.Beaver with
excitement. "Our cousin Mr. Eagle can
help us to move that tree. He's most
powerful and carries real heavy fish to
lift out of the waters." "Yes! That's
it." cried Mr. Beaver. "Now go and find
this Mr. Eagle and have him come and help
us out." "Yes Sir!" said the Flying Squirrel.

The Flying Squirrel went from branch to
branch with ease. One branch would be used
as a jumping diving board as it lifted himself
off. The wind under the wings made a flapping
sound as he soared through the sky. Finally
the Flying Squirrel came across a large tree
which he recognized where Mr. Eagle lives.

The Flying Squirrel climbed up this large
tree. Finally he came across this huge nest
made of branches and twigs. He climbed the
nest and found Mr. Eagle looking outwards to
the ocean. The Flying Squirrel finally climbed
inside the nest. He ended up right in front of
this huge white tail end of the feathers. He
yanked at the tail feathers to get Mr. Eagle's
attention. "Who goes there?" said Mr.Eagle.
"It is I." said the Flying Squirrel. "What is it
that you want?" asked Mr. Eagle."Mr. Beaver has
sent me, for we need your help." said the Flying
Squirrel. "To do what?" asked Mr. Eagle. "Do you
see that tree, the one Mr. Beaver has cut
down?" "Yes, that tree there. Ok, lets go."
said Mr. Eagle

Before they left, Mr. Eagle asked the Flying
Squirrel if he wants to go for a ride way up
there where he pointed upwards. "Why yes." said
the Flying Squirrel. So the Flying Squirrel
climbed on his wings and off they went.
The wings made a wonderful fluttering sound
as it lifted off. It made some wonderful music
as it flew. The Flying Squirrel hung on to
the shoulder blades of the wings. The wings
fluttered in the face of the Flying Squirrel.
Mr. Eagle finally reached the top of the journey.
Meanwhile the Flying Squirrel is admiring the
beauty of the land below. "Everything is so
beautiful up here.: "Yes", I see this every day.
I always look upon this land with respect and
honour. You better hang on, we are heading down
to our destination now." said Mr. Eagle.

Mr. Eagle finally lands on the stump to where
Mr. Beaver was waiting. "You know what you have
to do?" asked Mr. Beaver to Mr. Eagle. "Yes I
do." said Mr. Eagle. Everyone moved away from the
tree and made room. Mr. Eagle lifted itself up
and came down with a force of the wind and
snatched up the tree. The tree went up to the
sky with a sparkling effect to it. Most of the
needles came down like sparkles in the wind.
Mostly like glitter. Mr. eagle remembers what
he was told by the Flying Squirrel, where the
holes are located which were dug out by the >br>
Rabbit, Moles and Rats for the trunk of the tree.
The tree was swaying back and forth as Mr. Eagle
landed the tree right straight into the hole.
Right on target....Bullseye...!!!!

The tree has a tilt to it and needs to be
straighten out. So Mr. Beaver asked Mt. Blue
Heron to straighten it out. Mr. Blue Heron
poked his large beak into the tree and
straightened it out.

All the animals started their destination for
gathering of the ornaments for the tree.
Meanwhile up the cliff was Mr. Beaver and Mr.
Eagle watching with amazement. The tree just
developed as it reflected on the waters below.
The water is so crystal clear as it made the
tree look so beautiful. Finally Mr. Blue Heron
got a star fish and placed it at the top of the
tree. Meanwhile, Mr. Beaver has a puzzling look
on his face. Mr. Eagle has taken notice of the
puzzled look.

"Whats the matter now?" asked Mr. Eagle. "It's
the tree, it's not glittering or glowing. It
needs glitter or glow. It needs to sparkle and
everything." said Mr. Beaver. So Mr. Eagle was
trying to figure out how to sparkle this tree
like Mr. Beaver wanted. "I got it! My cousins,
Mr. Dolphin and Mr. Whale can help us out here.
They can splash the tree to make it sparkle".
said Mr. Eagle. Then Mr. Eagle started his
whistles. Chirping and whistling the voice which
echoed throughout the valley. Mr. Eagle let out
a great wonderful whistling sound of music.

Meanwhile way out in the ocean Mr. Dolphin and
Mr. Whale were playing about. They also recognized
the whisdtling sound of Mr. Eagle. They both
stopped and looked at each other and took notice
of the whistle. "They need us for something."
They both responded, and off they went.

They came to a large cliff where Mr. Beaver and
Mr. Eagle were waiting. "What is it that you
want?" they asked. "Yes....you both see that
tree over there?" asked Mr. Beaver. They slowly
turned around to look in the direction Mr. Beaver
was pointing."Oh my!!" said Mr. Dolphine. "What
a lovely tree!" "We want you to splash that tree
so it can sparkle". Said Mr. Beaver.

Mr. Dolphin and Mr. Whale went under the water.
The water again is crystal clear. Not a ripple.
All the animals, Mr. Beaver and Mr. Whale waited
for that big splash. Finally, out of the water
came Mr. Dolphin and Mr. Whale. One great big
splash after another. The tree started to sparkle.
The chimes of music played as they watched. Mr.
Dolphin danced upon the water with much joy.
Everything started to look like Christmas
as all the animals are struck in a
trance....mesmerized and all.

Meanwhile on the cliff Mr. Beaver and Mr. Eagle
looked upon the tree. Mr. Eagle has taken
noticed of Mr. Beaver and he was crying.
"What's the matter now?" asked Mr. Eagle.
"It's the most wonderful Wilderness Spirit Of
Christmas I ever had." said Mr. Beaver. ©
